Mexico’s Supreme Quality Program

The Mexican government’s Ministry of Agriculture
(SAGARPA*), along with APEAM and Mexico’s other
produce growers and packers, have established the
Mexico Supreme Quality program, whose national
standards guarantee the highest quality produce for export.

Quality stamped with approval

Subject to rigorous standards under the program, Avocados from Mexico have earned the coveted Mexico Supreme Quality™ seal, a registered trademark of SAGARPA.

The USDA — a key quality ally

To ensure the quality of Avocados from Mexico, the USDA works with APEAM in inspecting avocado orchards of Michoacan. In addition, USDA inspectors are present in every avocado packinghouse to oversee every aspect of Mexico’s export program.
